SOUL SHATTERING STORY OF JIAH KHAN “A SUICIDE OR A MURDER?”

Jiah khan born as Nafisa Rizvi Khan a British-American born singer and actress who appeared in a row of films from 2007-2010. She was nominated for Film Fare Awards for Best Female Debut in her film Nishabd. She entered the 100 Crore club by performing in movies Ghajni & Houseful. But later was found dead hanging from the ceiling in her own house in Juhu, Mumbai. Jiah was in a live in relationship for 9 months with boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi, son of bollywood duo Aditiya Pancholi & Zarina Wahab and was depressed about her recent break up with him. On June 3, 2013 Jiah wanted to stay awake the whole night as to greet her youngest sister who was coming from Heathrow. She was shopping whole day long and was excited to meet her sister & they both continuously kept on talking until she boarded the flight. Jiah’s mother left her home to have dinner with her friends & at 9.30 pm gave a reminder to Jiah for eating as for an upcoming role she needed to gain weight which her mother said she was calm and they both laughed on it. But soon things changed Rabiya came back home at 11.20 pm and saw her hanging from the ceiling she screamed for help as giving support to her body, her body was still warm but Jiah was dead. The next day local police told the reporters that its seems to be a case of a suicide yet her family wasn’t believing on it because they had faith she could not do such a thing. According to Rabbiya, the first police officer on the scene said the hanging appeared to be suspicious. There were injury marks on Jiah’s face and arm, a broken drawer handle, unexplained spots of blood and the balcony windows were unlocked, among other things. But the officer changed tack the next day. As time went on vital pieces of evidence mysteriously got lost, including the white dupatta used around Jiah’s neck in the hanging. The tracksuit that she had been seen wearing on CCTV footage only 30 minutes before she died was missing entirely. Police said they never recovered it from the scene. They did not find any prints even not of Jiah’s. Yet the authorities failed to follow up these irregularities. (Neither the police nor the CBI responded to repeated requests for interviews). Things took a turn when her sister found a 6-page suicide note in Jiah’s writing after a week she had died. As the letter was undated and un mentioned to whom it was written but the details showed it was for her boyfriend. After the letter was verified local Mumbai police charged Sooraj with abetting her suicide. Jiah’s letter clearly said that she knew Sooraj was cheating on him but she still ignored and wanted to move on with this fact without risking the love she had for her. She blamed him for torturing her each day in return of her love. She hated her self-accused him for making her feeling lonely and vulnerable. The letter clearly says that she was raped, tortured and 4 months pregnant. Sources say that Jiah was 4 months pregnant when she told Sooraj who got worried and they visited a gynaecologist who prescribed heavier medicine. The source added, "After taking the medicine, Jiah started haemorrhaging and called Sooraj for help. She was in pain and needed immediate medical attention, but Sooraj allegedly asked her to wait and called up the gynaecologist for guidance. He was asked to rush Jiah to hospital as the foetus had probably aborted but had not been expelled from the body, which is probably what led to the haemorrhaging."The incident scared Sooraj that his acting career might never see the light of the day if anyone got a clue of the pregnancy and abortion. Sooraj, instead of taking Jiah to the hospital, extricated the foetus with his hands and disposed it off in the toilet. The incident is said to have left Jiah emotionally shattered, and finally pushed her to kill herself.
